| Calica Industries had started its operation in the year 1958 pioneered by Mr. G.K. Patel & V.V. Patel, dynamic experienced entrepreneurs along with their dedicated team and with a vision to emerge as a major player in various gum products. Within 50 years, the company has emerged as one of the main suppliers in the sector for wide range of thickeners as well as niche range of textile printing thickeners serving both in Indian and other countries. |

In the year 2005, Calica Exports emerged by catering to its
clientele by direct exports. With new generation facility,
located at Changodar, complete apart from its presently situated
manufacturing unit in Naroda, gave new direction to textile gum
processing. Under the management of third generation
entrepreneur Mr. Ankit Patel, Calica Exports achieved great
success in short span of time having wide exposure in textile
printing thickeners.
50 glorious years and still more to go, the appetite to for
growth and dream which was started by Mr. G.K. Patel & Mr. V.V.
Patel still remains strong passed on to generations.

The CALICA promise of quality has remained unchanged over the past 50 years, but the corporate umbrella under which this brand has prospered has undergone significant modifications, especially during the last 15 years of intense competitive industry. While discussing the history of the Calica name, perhaps a word on this recent lineage would not be sufficient enough. |
